About Newtown Medical Centre

Newtown Medical Centre has been looking after patients in Castletroy for over 30 years. The surgery originated in Dr. Magnier’s home on the Dublin Road in 1993 before relocating to the Newtown Centre in 2011. In January 2024, Newtown Medical Centre opened its second premises, across the car park, to cater for the rapidly expanding Annacotty community. 

 

With 7 Doctors , 3 Nurses , a phlebotomist and 6 administrative staff we are in a perfect position to cater for you and your family's healthcare needs.

  • Shannondoc out of hours service

  • A range of specialist services delivered on site.

  • Childhood and Seasonal vaccinations

  • Sexual Health screening

  • Female health checks including Mirena coil/Implanon insertion 

  • Male health checks

  • Travel Health and vaccinations including yellow fever vaccination

  • Minor surgical procedures including ingrown toenail and lesion removal

  • Dermoscopy

  • Cryosurgery

  • Medical Aesthetics 

  • Joint Injections

  • Nasal Cautery

  • Chronic Disease Management

  • Medical Education including training our future GPs
